Content & Testimonial Guidelines
Requirements for video testimonials, genuine reviews, and UGC—including disclosures, prohibited claims, and authenticity labels.
Last updated: June 5, 2026 · InfluVenture
1. Purpose
InfluVenture hosts paid and gifted creator content for marketing use. These guidelines protect audiences, brands, and creators, and align with advertising standards and consumer protection expectations in India and common international practice.
2. Required disclosures
Video testimonials must clearly indicate they are paid or sponsored user-generated content. Our standard on-video label is: “Paid User-Generated Testimonial – Recorded for Marketing Purposes.”
Creators must not imply unpaid organic opinions when compensation or free product was received. Verbal and visual disclosure should be clear to a reasonable viewer.
3. Honest experience
Statements must reflect the creator’s genuine experience with the product or service where the campaign type requires authenticity (e.g. genuine product reviews). Scripted UGC must still avoid false factual claims.
Include qualifiers such as “results may vary” or “individual results may differ” when discussing outcomes, performance, or benefits.
4. Prohibited claims and content
Do not include:
- Guaranteed results, miracle cures, “100% safe/effective,” or “risk-free” financial or health promises.
- Medical, legal, or financial advice unless the creator is qualified and the brand has compliant approval workflows.
- Content targeting minors, hate speech, harassment, illegal products, or infringing third-party IP.
- Deepfakes or misleading impersonation without explicit consent and labeling.
- Hidden editing that changes factual product performance claims.
5. Technical requirements
Upload approved formats (MP4, MOV, WebM) at minimum 480p unless a task specifies otherwise. Metadata fields (product name, description, benefits, audience, usage type) must be complete before publishing.
Watermarks or disclaimer overlays may be applied automatically during processing.
6. Moderation outcomes
Content may be rejected or returned for revision if disclosures are missing, claims are prohibited, or quality standards are not met. Repeated violations affect creator scores and eligibility.
